Generic name for a type of board game?
So, you know those games where you roll some die, or draw a card, or something of the sort; and then move forward on a path? And the winner is whoever gets to the end first, and there's all these spots where you can skip ahead or get sent back or loose a turn, etc? Like Life, for example, or Candyland.
Yeah, anyway, is there a general name for those types of board games? Like, I dunno, Adventure Board Games or something?
Also, what's a good example of a type of game like that, other than the ones I listed?
Generally those games are known as "Roll and Move" games.

I've sorted the list by rank so you can see the better games first. The first game on the list "Formula D" is a very fun racing game.
But generally these games are "frowned" upon because they tend to be more simplistic and require less strategy.
