how do you play candyland?

i dont know how to play candyland, sad huh. i've never played it before. today, i had to babysit this girl and she wanted to play it and i had no idea. i tried getting the instruction online but didnt get anything. tomorrow i have to babysit her again so i need to learn how to play it before she starts teaching me.
her board doesnt have one, its old.
