My four year old, is she just difficult, or does she have a learning disability ? I have a four year old daughter that for the life of me I can't teach. She refuses to sit and listen to what I have to say. I have tried many different things to encourage her to learn, but it never goes anywhere. I am starting to question the depth at which she is able to learn. We just tried playing candyland and I had to walk away because she wasn't even trying to comprehend how it's played. We tried for about an hour on the game alone. My husband thinks that I am over reacting I think he is under reacting. Does anyone else have a child like this? And if so how did/do you handle it. I am at my wits end not to mention we have a newborn so totally sleep deprived. Please help, I am starting to question my abilities as her mother. Your daughter sounds normal.
